World Vegan Month: Plant-based Proteins
Protein is key to any eating style. Of course, vegan eating style uses plant-based proteins. This video features a plant-based protein meal using vegetables, beans, and grains that I call feel good foods.
Actually, this meal makes me feel good because it is actually energizing all the cells in my body. A plant-based diet has great positive effects on our health. It makes you more lively, promotes longevity, and well-being due to phytonutrients (plant nutrients) or phytochemicals (plant chemicals), which are considered disease fighting substances.
After eating this meal, I am doing housework, taking care of business, blogging, reading–after coming from work, and doing errands. I am tired after work, and all I want to do is go to sleep. But, knowing I have things to do, I have to eat life-enhancing, plant-based foods to feel revived!
Please learn more about the benefits of phytonutrients, which is different from nutrients. While nutrients are found in all foods; phytonutrients are only found in plant-based foods and enhances nutrients in other foods. They enhance the quality of life tremendously.
I am a busy person. The healthy vegan eating style gives me the energy I need to live fully. A busy lifestyle makes it challenging to always eat healthy, even if it is vegan. With so many choices, there are many challenges. It’s about listening to our body and taking action for the better.
