Since I was a little girl, I loved cranberry sauce from the very first time I tasted it! At first, I only liked the jellied version, without the whole cranberries. As an adult, especially as a vegan, I prefer only the whole cranberry version; and, I appreciate the nutritional value, not only the taste! My top nutritional values are the anti-inflammatory and heart health.
I think all of the autumn foods for Thanksgiving were medicinal. It is a time to eat rich, savory, food that satiate the mind, body, and soul.
Cranberries are festive too. I think cranberry sauce adds great color to the dinner plate. The rich wine color is so pleasing to the eye, and makes a meal more exciting. It’s a great garnish, too! I could go on and on. But, I hope you enjoy a nice side of cranberry sauce with your holiday dinner!
Happy Thanksgiving,
