I bought some croissants. I kept singing the old commercial jingle: Burger King Croissan’wich beat the stuffin’ out of Egg McMuffin! Also, I had just learned about the new Starbucks Impossible Breakfast Sandwich. While before becoming vegetarian and vegan, I tasted the Burger King Croissan’wich many times; I did not taste the Starbucks sandwich because it does not meet my Veganista stamp of approval, due to it containing lots of animal ingredients.

So, I made my own version of the two sandwiches: The Veganista Croissant Breakfast Sandwich. It really tastes like the Burger King sandwich, but healthy and guilt-free. I did use sunflower oil for frying, though. I think sunflower oil gives such a great taste to EVERYTHING! But, the best oil for healthy frying is grapeseed oil. Both allow for high heat use. This sandwich has such a light and fluffy texture, yet, rich and delicious flavor. It doesn’t give bloatedness or heartburn. Eating just one sandwich is satisfying! And, it goes with any beverage, even a Mimosa or chilled Pink Moscato, especially if it’s for a brunch!
You got to make and eat this sandwich! It’s quick and easy to make. Even if you are not vegetarian or vegan, you will love it! Kid’s will love it too! Bon Appetit!
