I think protesters planting a garden within CHOP (Capitol Hill Organized Protest, formerly CHAZ, Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone) is fascinating. I read a few articles about how the garden started and the various reasons why. But, I think its a subjective matter relative to significance of a garden within CHOP. I feel that these pictures in this slide show reveal such a visceral aspect of the protest, which surpasses intellectual or status quo reasoning.
What reasons do you think the garden is significant within CHOP? What is the reason for people gardening under those circumstances?
